Some comments on lecture(s)

It seems that there are going to be changes regarding the date/location of Diagnostic test! I shall post asap a new message!

The problems of the diagnostic test will cover the laws of the exponents, the product

and division of polynomials, polynomial factorization, solving inequalities,

absolute values, functions, domain and range of functions, exponential and

trigonometric functions, basic trigonometric identities: cos^2(t) + sin^2(t)

= 1, cos(t+s) = cos(t)cos(s) - sin(t)sin(s) and sin(t+s) = cos(t)sin(s) +

sin(t)cos(s), equation of a line, solutions of linear equations, etc.

There is no question on derivatives or vectors!

From the October 22 onwards, you will be able to collect your tests and assignments in the Math Help Centre (Marion 021) for two weeks after they have been marked. What has not been picked up within two weeks will be at your instructor's office. The Pickup at the Help Centre is open ONLY at the following times
Thursdays: 11:15-16:00
Fridays: 12:45-15:00
Please do not ask to retrieve any of your work outside of these hours.
