Our laboratories are located at the Department of Chemistry and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Ottawa.
The Pezacki Lab is a multidisciplinary environment where students, post-doctoral fellows and professional staff work together to develop new chemical and biophysical tools for studying host-pathogen interactions. We use leading edge technologies such as activity-based profiling, bioorthogonal chemistry, non-coding RNA screening, exosome profiling and expanded genetic code technologies. We have state-of-the-art facilities that include a chemistry lab, microbiology lab, and a cell biology lab as well as access to outstanding world-class infrastructure through the University of Ottawa’s core facilities. We are exploring new targets and mechanisms for therapeutic intervention and vaccine technologies against human viruses such as hepatitis A-E, Dengue, and SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19 causing) viruses. |
