CONGRATULATIONS
Anabel Lanterna has received the 2017 Gerhard Closs Post-Doctoral Award. She was presented with the award at the 27th IAPS Conference in Sarasota, Florida.
NEW GRANT!!!
Our group, together with two university groups from Kenya and South Africa, have been awarded with ~ 1M$ to pursue a research project focusing on environmental issues, particularly water remediation. This is one of only 2 winning projects across Canada!!! Together with our African partners, Tebello Nyokong (Rhodes University, South Africa) and Edith Amuhaya (United States International University, Kenya), we aim to use nanotechnology to develop materials that can provide solutions for current environmental issues, such as water and soil decontamination, as well as the design of new systems to reduce the cost of current methods of purification.
