Maryam Sadat Amiri

Maryam has received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in electrical engineering/ fields and waves from Isfahan university of technology (IUT) in Iran in 2014 and 2017 respectively. As an undergraduate student; she has spent two years, designing, fabricating, and testing different active and passive RF and Microwave circuits in IUT Microwave lab which is one of the most advanced ones in Iran. During her master’s she worked on analytical modeling, simulation, and design of Graphene metasurfaces in THz regime.

She joined the extreme ultrafast photonic research group in September 2018 as a Ph.D. student where she is working on producing nanostructures using structured light beams in the LIFT technique. Her research interests include but aren't limited to nonlinear optics, ultrafast light interaction with solids, photonics integrated circuits, and THz and optical metasurfaces. In her free time; she does professional drawing and enjoys skating, swimming, and playing Kalimba.
