Shared Lab Facilities at the University of Ottawa

Bringing together expertise from Health Canada’s Exposures and Biomonitoring Division and the University of Ottawa’s Department of Earth Sciences to advance research into key environmental health issues.

Under the Earth & Health collaborative agreement, the University of Ottawa has created shared lab facilities to house Health Canada’s ICP-MS and XRD equipment and personnel, in the Department of Earth Sciences, in the new Geobiology and Health Lab, and in the Faculty of Science XRD/XRF Facility.

The collaboration will establish a foundation for a national network for geoscience and environmental health, with international links, and seek opportunities to include other significant collaborators in the field of geoscience and environmental health.
