Travelling to Ottawa
Getting from the airport to the University of Ottawa by public transportation takes 30-45 minutes, and involves taking route 97 to Hurdman station (last stop) and then taking the light rail train west (towards Tunney's Pasture) for 2 stops, to uOttawa.
To plan other routes using Ottawa's public transport, google maps is recommended.
A taxi from the airport to the University of Ottawa costs around $35.
You can also reach Ottawa by Via rail.
To get from the train station to the University of Ottawa by public transportation takes 10 minutes. The Via rail station stop is called Tremblay, and from there you may take the light rail train west (towards Tunney's Pasture) for 3 stops, to uOttawa.
Entering Canada
For international participants: Canada does not require covid-testing to enter, only proof of vaccination. You will need to use the ArriveCAN app to upload your proof of vaccination and to complete a border declaration before boarding your flight to Canada. The University of Ottawa is located in downtown Ottawa (on the east side).
Recommended places for accommodation are:
