Research

My research interest is to use and study mathematical models to learn more about the human brain. One of my major goals is to uncover the structural features of the electrical activity of neurons, in order to bring about new theoretical insights on the emergent properties of cortical oscillations. Various tools of mathematics, especially tools coming from dynamical system theory, statistical physics, computer sciences, data analysis and signal processing, play central roles in my research. The framework I use the most is a well-established method called mean-field theory.
