A PDF candidate will work on time dynamics of the SBS based random fiber laser using structured optical fiber. Ideally someone can do both of experimental and theoretical work. The project involves using fiber sensors to explore the statistical and dynamic features of laser physics, especially random lasers. The candidate should develop the fiber sensor and random fiber laser setup, optimize the laser and sensor system, as well as characterize both systems.
Knowledge, skills requirement
- PhD in fiber optics, laser physics, distributed fiber sensors, nonlinear effects in fibers
- Peer review journal publication in above mentioned fields
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Self-motivation, self-initiative, go-oriented and ability to work in a team
-Individuals with coding experience in LabView and Matlab are preferred.
-Demonstrate capability for pursuing independent research.
