Oxygen-bearing PGM grains have been reported from many places and PGE are considered to be oxidized. Our work shows that Pt-Fe oxide in New Caledonia is a mixture of metallic Pt and ferrihydrite. I am continuing the characterization of O-bearing PGM. Please contact me if you have such samples.
