Mikell Bilodeau
Mikell worked as a geologist
at the Agnico-Eaglefs Lapa mine in the summer of 2015. It is an Archean orogenic
gold deposit along the Larder Lake-Cadillac Deformation Zone in the southern
Abitibi greenstone belt. Mikell did
the mapping and collected representative samples and carried out an
undergraduate thesis project, which focuses on the alteration.
Mikell presented his work at
the PDAC-SEG Minerals Colloquium in Toronto in March, 2015, and received the
second prize in the undergraduate student category.
