Welcome to the website for MAT 2371. Throughout the term, this website will be used to provide you with information and updates about the course: lectures, assignments, and examinations. It is recommended that you check the website on a regular basis (at least once each week). Please note: all relevant information for this section of the course, including due dates for assignments and instructions for the midterm and final are as announced on THIS website.

Course outline:  Please ensure that you have a copy of the course outline. It contains important information about the textbook, curriculum, assignments, examinations, and evaluation of grades.

Midterm: Thursday, October 23

Calculators: It is a regulation of the Faculty of Science that the only calculators permitted during examinations are: the Texas Instruments TI-30 and TI-34, as well as the Casio fx-260 and fx-300.  NO OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES WILL BE PERMITTED DURING EXAMINATIONS.

Assignments: There will be eight assignments, with questions (from the text) and due dates listed below. Assignments (hard copies only!) must be submitted in class on or before the due date, and I am not able to accept late assignments or electronic submissions.
Graded assignments will be returned in class the following Thursday. Please be aware that you must pick up your assignment at that time; assignments will not be made available at any other time.

NOTE: The questions listed below are tentative. Assignment questions are subject to change up to one week before they are due. Please check the list below before starting your assignments. Note that full details must be given in your solutions and your work must be clearly legible. In order to receive any marks for the question, you must fully justify your final answer.

Solutions to assignments: Solutions will be posted after assignments are submitted.
