What we do:
Our research program focuses on the design, understanding, and implementation of transition-metal catalysis for important organic reactions.
In particular, we seek to articulate and address important problems of productivity and selectivity in olefin (alkene) metathesis and related methodologies, and tandem catalysis.
Over the period 2012-2024, a major focus has been understanding catalyst degradation, as an under-appreciated tool for insight and design.
Applications range from pharmaceutical and fine-chemicals synthesis to materials science, chemical biology, and opportunities for the circular economy.
