Research
I am a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Ottawa, and I work in the uOttawa Geometry and Topology Group.
I study low-dimensional topology, and specifically cobordisms of 3-manifolds, knots, links, and tangles. The main tools that I use are various versions of Floer homology and related invariants. I have also been working on the connections between Floer theory and contact geometry, and placing Floer theory in the context of categorification.
My research has been supported by NSERC Discovery Grant RGPIN-2023-05123, NSF Standard Grant DMS-2238131 (previously DMS-2039688), and an AMS–Simons Travel Grant.
Seminars
I am organizing the Geometry and Topology Seminar at uOttawa in 2024–2025.
Pages of seminars I (co-)organized previously:
- The LSU Virtual Topology Seminar from 2017 to 2020;
- The Columbia Graduate Student Topology Seminar in Fall 2014.
