Thanks to all who participated in the summer school.
The summer school features three lecture series covering diverse aspects of operator algebras and their applications: Kate Juschenko (University of Texas at Austin) - Analytic properties of discrete and topological groups. Magdalena Musat (University of Copenhagen) - The Connes Embedding Problem: from operator algebras to groups and quantum information theory. Stuart White (University of Oxford) - Simple amenable operator algebras.
There is a career talk by Sarah Reznikoff, and opportunities for contributed talks by participants. The Operator Algebras Mentor Network (OAMN) will hold an Abstract Writing Workshop for members during the summer school; for information about this network please see https://oamentornetwork.wordpress.com/.
The summer school is adjacent to the 2021 CMS 75th anniversary summer meeting, also hosted by the University of Ottawa, taking place June 7-11. This CMS meeting features a number of sessions that may be of interest to summer school participants, such as Noncommutative Geometry and Mathematical Physics, Operator Algebras and Applications, and Quantum Information Theory.
The summer school is organized by Thierry Giordano, Ian Putnam, and Aaron Tikuisis. Sarah Reznikoff has also been instrumental.
