I will be starting a faculty position (Assistant Professor) in the Biology Department at Memorial University in July.

I am currently a NSERC postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biology at the University of Ottawa (advisor: Dr. Jeremy Kerr). I completed my PhD in Ecology in the Department of Biology at McGill University (advisor: Dr. Michel Loreau) and my M.Sc. in Conservation Biology in the Department of Renewable Resources at the University of Alberta (advisor: Dr. Fiona Schmiegelow). I am an active member of the BEACONs program, which is developing a conservation network for the boreal region of Canada.

I am a community/ecosystem ecologist with a strong interest in conservation ecology. My research attempts to characterize the relationship between biodiversity and ecosystem functioning. I am particularly interested in how organism, energy, and material fluxes between ecosystems (e.g. aquatic-terrestrial ecotone) impacts the functioning of coupled ecosystems.
