Bio

I have always been passionate about nature and fascinated about how the human body functions. As I went on studying biology, focusing on ecology and neurobiology, I became interested in how environmental conditions can influence human health. I do research in environmental health issues in an interdisciplinary way, using an ecosystem approach to human health that integrates questions of gender and equity. I like to work together with the communities that face environmental health challenges, to construct the research questions and discuss the results with them, in order to promote population health.
