We are developing new synthetic methods in carbon-carbon bond formation by harvesting the powers of domino reactions, gold catalysis and novel radical processes. We're also leveraging these methodologies by synthesizing natural products and molecules of interest in the pharmaceutical industry.

Our paper on gold catalysis has been accepted in Pure and Applied Chem
Louis was awarded the 2012 Boehringer Ingelheim (Canada) Research Excellence Award (formely the Merck-Frosst Award). This award is presented to a scientist residing in Canada who has made a distinguished contribution to medicinally relevant organic or biophysical chemistry while working in Canada. Louis will give his award lecture at the CSC meeting in Calgary May 26-30, 2012.
