Research Work by Martin Viala

Martin completed BSc at Univ Quebec Montreal in 2016, started a MSc program at University of Ottawa in January, 2017, defended his MSc thesis in Sept, 2020. During his undergraduate program, Martin took courses to be a certified gemologist by International Gemological Society. He characterized igneous rocks in the Hualgayoc mining district in northern Peru as his MSc project. He was enthusiastic in disseminating his findings. He wrote two refereed papers, and gave several presentations at conferences including the Society of Economic Geologists Keystone meeting, International Association of Genesis of Ore Deposits meeting in 2018, Geological Association of Canada meeting in 2019, and Minerals Colloquium during the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

He also made several presentations to Industry people in Peru.
