Field work in August, 2011

Stacey Wetmore (MSc student) and Professor Aral Okay of Istanbul Technical University.

We stayed at Armada Hotel in Istanbul before the field work. It has a wonderful atmosphere and is close to Blue Mosque.

	The month of August is Ramadan. Many restaurants outside Istanbul were closed until 8 pm. Here, Aral and Stacey are waiting for the prayer.
People in villages are very friendly	There are so many wild nuts this is walnut… It was slightly early and green taste, but was edible.
