About the project
Three of us at the University of Ottawa conducted an analysis of mobility for the butterflies of Canada. Dozens of lepidopterists across Canada and the northern USA volunteered their time to contribute to our research. To every one of you: THANK YOU! Our manuscript arising from this project has been published in the journal Biodiversity and Conservation (Sept 2011 issue). The data cover many species, the consistency between respondents' mobility estimates for species is remarkable, and some interesting trends have emerged from our analyses. We are excited by this research!
