Welcome! Bienvenue! Willkommen!

I have moved to the ENS in Paris. My email address will remain valid until further notice. If you have any questions or remarks and want to contact me, feel free to do so. As in the past, I will be happy to reply...

My name is Johannes Cuno and I am a mathematician. My research interests range from combinatorial and geometric group theory to formal languages. Moreover, I am getting increasingly interested in graph theory and random walks on infinite graphs and groups.

If you speak German and would like to gain a quick impression of combinatorial group theory and one of my research projects, have a look into the essay Knifflige Buchstabenrätsel. It is written for a general audience.

I was student in the Doctoral Program Discrete Mathematics and obtained my PhD in October 2015 under supervision of Wolfgang Woess at Graz University of Technology. Now, I am having the honour to work as postdoctoral fellow with Vadim Kaimanovich at the University of Ottawa.

On this homepage you find more detailed information about me and my work. If you have any questions or remarks, please do not hesitate to contact me.
