  1. My current projects;

    A constructive large deviation theory

    Most of my recent work has centered around the paper ``Asymptotics of first passage times for random walk in a quadrant'' which appeared in Annals of Applied Probability.   Bob Foley and I have recently submitted completed a paper on applications of this theory to load balancing of networks. Stephen Turner and I are extending this work to compare the join the shortest queue protocol with the join the shortest waiting time protocol.

    I have also done work with Francois Baccelli on a Mean Field Analysis of the RED active queue management scheme for TCP/IP traffic.
