Specific Topics:

The organization of supramolecular assemblies and their applications. The mechanisms of molecular recognition. The design and synthesis of new organo-mineral nanohybrid materials, with potential applications in catalysis, separations and materials science. More specifically, the projects which are currently under way involve:
  • The kinetics and the mechanisms of formation and dissociation of complexes in solution and the mechanisms of recognition of organic guests by large receptors. These studies are based on multinuclear magnetic resonance.
  • The intercalation of organic and organometallic species in naturally occurring layered minerals, such as smectites, layered double hydroxydes, lamellar silicates, sepiolite or kaolinites, with an emphasis on their applications, particularly in catalysis and in separation processes.
