MAT 1302B/D (Winter 2012)

Mathematical Methods II

Computation of Grades

You must obtain a passing grade on the final exam in order to pass the course. If you pass the final exam, then your final course grade will be calculated as follows:

Your lowest assignment grade will be replaced by your score on the final exam if this is to your advantage. Similarly, your lowest midterm exam score will be replaced by your score on the final exam if this is to your advantage. Note that this includes missed assignments/midterms. That is, if you miss an assignment or midterm, that is the one that will be replaced.

Virtual Campus: Grades will be posted on Virtual Campus.

Explanation of Grades: An explanation of grades in the Faculty of Science can be found here.

What does a grade of E mean? In 1000-level courses such at MAT 1302, a grade of E is a failing grade but with the opportunity to write a supplemental examination. See the detailed explanation found here. Supplemental examinations are scheduled by the Faculty of Science and not by the professor. Therefore, for furthermore information on the supplemental exam, including the date when it will take place, please contact the Faculty of Science.
