Postgraduate

I am looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated students (MSc or PhD) to work in the area of developmental biology. Specific areas include: 1) the study of pattern formation mechanisms in plants, and 2) the study of fish fin morphogenesis. To work in the lab, you need either a computer science background (ideally computer graphics) with an interest in biology, or a general biology background, with an interest in computer programming and a keen interest in morphogenesis. Note: Taking BIO3360 or BIO3760 gives you the necessary background to carry out a project involving computer programming. Although external funding is not mandatory, it is strongly suggested to apply for total or partial funding. If you are interested in joining the lab, send me an email with your CV, two academic references, and a letter detailing your research interests and motivation.
